'gif' not supported

Hi! Even with renderframes=False option, (I am not sure about my ImageMagick install and binding with Python), I get the error message : ValueError: Format 'gif' not supported (supported formats: eps, jpeg, jpg, pdf, pgf, png, ps, raw, rgba, svg, svgz, tif, tiff) while saving the first frame. My matplotlib install should be up-to-date (2.2.2) and I tried installing pillow (5.2.0), but it did not change anything. Is there more to set up to use your package?
