Monterey - Bluetooth tool stuck on "macos wants to use the system keychain" message

Open jasonn514 opened this issue 2 years ago • 6 comments

I'm unable to export the bluetooth registry key using Hackintool in macOS 12.2

When I click on the bluetooth icon, it prompts for my user's password and then it display a message that says "macos wants to make changes, enter an administrator's name and password to allow this".

It continues to re-prompt me for the same info no matter what I enter. I have to force quit Hackintool to get rid of the prompt

I've tried many different versions of Hackintool and get the same results.

I'm not sure if this is a Montery bug but I'm hoping it will work again in the next update. Let me know if it doesn't

Same behaviour here, Monterey and 3.8.4.

I updated to Monterey 12.2.1 (Build 21D62) and this bug seems to be fixed.

I'm on Monterey 12.3 and I still get that issue however I found that by entering in my username and password multiple times it eventually works. I wonder if its asking for permissions for each bluetooth key individually, so the number of prompts equals the number of bluetooth devices.

You have to enter your username and password each time it accesses the keychain to extract the keys for each device but the issue was that on some earlier builds the dialogs would get stuck and you could never pass them.
