[feature] Ability to disable transmitting when using as a simulator?

Not really an issue, more of a question/feature.

I was wondering wether it will be possible to include an option to disable the actual transmitting?

When I am using the transmitter in a simulator, like PhoenixRC or something like LiftOff, it will cost a lot of battery already, because the transmitter is actually transmitting.
