Performance from 0.28.0 to 0.30.6 seems significantly worse.

I noticed that my work repo performs significantly worse for formatting files on 0.30.6 than it does on 0.28.0. There is probably another cause of performance issues besides the changes for .gitignore that were only introduced in 1.0.0
