Question, do you mark unreleased versions at all? With "-git" (etc.) on the end? That way there is no confusion on whether someone has an old checkout versus a final released version.

Thanks! Not sure how this one didn't get bumped when the other occurrences did.

We have not previously had the workflow set up to append -git or similar to pre-release versions. Setting that up in our release.py automation could be a useful addition.
