Variable name different in code and discussion.
The vertex array object handle is called "vao" in the discussion, but changes to "vertexArrayObject" in the code. I prefer the longer, more descriptive name myself, but changing either side would be fine with me, when you get right down to it.
Thanks for the excellent discussion of the code! I learned a lot from it.
