Incorrect cursor position after selecting text and comment toggling

When selecting text and toggling comments using the "Comment Toggle" shortcut, the cursor position ends up in an incorrect location, suggesting the presence of whitespace characters even though there are none. This situation leads to confusion.

Reproduction:

Uncommenting code with the "Comment Toggle" shortcut doesn't update the cursor position either.

Note that the commenting issue occurs only when comment toggling does not result in selecting the entire line. To reproduce the problem, move the cursor towards the end of the line using arrow keys and then perform the comment/uncomment action.
