Inherit zoom for hyperlinks

Open LinkHealth opened this issue 6 years ago • 5 comments

Firstly, thank you so much for this great tool. It has really saved a lot of time for one of my colleagues. I have a question & request (fully knowing that your just doing this out of your own generosity!)

  • Does the Zoom Wizard sort out the Inherit Zoom for hyperlinks? It seemed to do it for only bookmarks.
  • I had to do a bulk conversion and it was difficult as I couldn't tell which file it was failing on. Is it possible for the Zoom Wizard to skip files that it fails on and show the filenames up on screen so further action can be taken?

Many Thanks.

Well, thank you, too! 😉

You are right. Currently, the tool only handles bookmarks as you can see in the project road map. Before I can add the feature for hyperlinks, I have to switch the underlying PDF library—which will take some time to implement.

Yep, this is indeed an issue. I'm also working on a better logging/user experience. So thanks for your suggestion, that could be a way to improve batch processing of multiple files.

Thank you for this wonderful tool! It works beautifully to add inherit zoom when the PDF files have the property PDF Producer: Acrobat Distiller 11.0 (Windows). However, when PDF Producer: ESP Ghostscript 815.01, the utility shows State: Succeeded but the inherit zoom feature doesn't seem to get applied. I'm wondering if there's an easy fix for this. To see the PDF Producer property, open PDF file, go to File-> Properties -> Description and it's in the Advanced section near the bottom of the page. Thank you.

Hi @dogloveroc, glad you like the tool. The issue you are describing is related to #15, not the feature request here. Please check out the corresponding discussion for news regarding the LaTeX/Ghostscript problem.

Oh My God it would be so amazing if batch editing the target zoom ratio could be done to hyperlinks!
