Error in the File manager on cPanel when try to edit file

Describe the Bug Error in the File manager on cPanel "The parameter ‘file’ is required." when try to edit a file in the browser.

To Reproduce

  1. Go to Shared hosting with cPanel
  2. Click on File manager and navigate to a file
  3. Click on Edit
  4. Got the error "The parameter ‘file’ is required."

Expected Behavior To load in the browser editor of cPanel the content of the page.

Environment

  • OS: macOS Big Sur version 11.1
  • Beaker Version: Beaker v1.1.0

I had a browser extension that blocks popups. Once I disabled it, file editing worked again for me. Hope this helps others with the same issue

Hi, just a seasoned lurker here. That's an interesting find. It might help the Developers if they know the name of the ad blocker. They might be able to find out what caused the interactivity to cease by examining how that blocker works.
