Data duplication
Is Your Feature Request Related to a Problem? Please Describe Let's say I have 1 TB HDD filled with Linux binaries. And I want to share them with other users. Right now if I import files to my hyperdrive, program stores copies of them at disk C:. It is a bad idea on its own (#1481), because user may not have much free space there. But it is worse if there saved your own files, which are already saved somewhere else. In other words, to share such 1 TB HDD of data, I need to buy another 1 TB HDD. Which is not good.
Solution You'd Like Data (binaries) and metadata (hashes, file paths) separation. Like it is done in Bittorrent.
Additional Context
I'm talking about something like this: hyper://471d763ccf99b917296735b1760ebb6c8631d03df556bea441f7e2bf19ae0bc9/.
(Will be available for several days).
(I'm not sure if this is a bug report of feature request, so please change type if needed)
Something like this might be possible (there was a version of the old "dat cli" which worked this way) but it requires some additional complexity in the internals of hyper:// which we currently can't handle. I do think it has merit as an idea, but I think it'll need to be a future feature.
