Beaker runs and opens http but not dat
Everything seems to run fine until I try to navigate to a dat:// page which for example returns
Page Not Found
No DNS record found for dat://beakerbrowser.com
No DNS record found
I can get to library and create a dat:// website that I can see at dat://c0ecb5e7d3f72381fb705fc1c8f915f65acb01b62f6d590bf59435f8b4c382ba+preview/, but in 'currently seeding' there is nothing. I don't know much about the swarm debugger but it's pretty much empty except for the 'discovery log' which is full of this:
c0ecb5e7d3f72381fb705fc1c8f915f65acb01b62f6d590bf59435f8b4c382ba | traffic | | out:multicastquery | | TXT Question (requesting peers list)

Possibly related, in settings/#general when I try to set beaker as the default browser for dat, it won't save the change, but will save changes to other fields on the same page.
I am running Ubuntu 20.04 with Beaker Version: 0.8.10 Electron: 8.1.1 - Chromium: 80.0.3987.141 - Node: 12.13.0
I cannot view dat pages too, but I get this for every dat:\\
It doesn't seem like anybody is sharing this site right now.
Would you like Beaker to watch for it to reappear?

Same for me. HTTPS working fine, but dat:// is not working at all. dat://beakerbrowser.com/ is not working at all. I've created sites in the library, same issue - says 0 Seeders. Other users cannot access my site as well.
Version: 0.8.7 Electron: 4.1.3 - Chromium: 69.0.3497.128 - Node: 10.11.0 Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS
Same issue. I sometimes get No DNS record found
and other times It doesn't seem like anybody is sharing this site right now. Would you like Beaker to watch for it to reappear?
and i can't seem to access any dat:// websites.
Version: 0.8.10 Arch Linux 5.9.8.a-1-hardened
I tried again on a fresh reinstall for Ubuntu 20.04 and still the same problem. I tried both the snap install and building from source and using burnthemall.
Version: 0.8.10 Electron: 8.1.1 - Chromium: 80.0.3987.141 - Node: 12.13.0
The 0.8.x branch is getting replaced with 1.0 very soon. We moved from the "dat protocol" to an updated replacement (same team) called the "hyper protocol." We released the 1.0 beta earlier in 2020, so you can try the updated protocol there.
