[Glyph Request] Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols (Latin letters)

Open tpapp opened this issue 6 years ago • 5 comments

It would be very nice if the slant/bold variations of latin letters in Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols (U+1D400U+1D7FF), eg 𝐀, 𝒆 were supported.

I use them in Unicode-aware programming languages vectors, matrices, etc.

(migrated from #81 as requested)

This will need some sort of post-processing pass that adds these characters to Regular from other styles... Backlog it though.

Hi,

Could you consider adding only 𝑓, U+1D453, in a first time?

ƒ, U+0192, is, rightly, upright in Iosevka Roman, but we lost the visual compatibility with Apple MacRoman (florin). 𝑓, U+1D453, could replace it.

For the sake of all physicists, may I recommend adding the reduced Planck constant symbol (ħ, \hbar) as well? :)

Currently most of them are covered in 4.0 beta. Fraktur and Swash are another story, and I do not think they could be done in a short time period.
