Jog line number in report_realtime_status

I am working on adding jogging to my keyboard testing machine. I’ve explored the grbl code and have not been able to find how to preserve the line_number from $J=…N1 Gcode for the report_realtime_status. Can you provide assistance on this issue? Thanks,
