I also wonder if we shouldn't at least provide instructions on how to create a word template that uses BC sans as well.

Another place where this would be useful is ggplot2. We could bundle the font with the package actually a la: https://github.com/hrbrmstr/hrbrthemes/tree/master/inst/fonts

Bundling it is a great idea, and it's open license so no problem. As for a Word template, I think it's meant to be a web font, not necessarily for print (serif fonts are apparently better for print, sans for web).

I am not sure if this feature should live in the bcgovrpackage, which is focussed on set up of repos in bcgov and bcgov-c.
