Current Question:

Will you be living in a home paid for by your parent(s)/step-parent/sponsor/legal guardian during your study period?
@CarlyCotton Currently base line for the self contained suite does reference they are paying fair market value. Lets discuss with policy tomorrow in the weekly meeting.
@CarlyCotton Regardless of policy, the current practice is to complete the independent students in the appeal path. Can we discuss having both go down the new appeal path or both go down exception but currently dependent or independent are adjudicated together. Erik has discussed with SCR and spoke about updating policy to be in line with best practice. Lets chat more.
@Joshua-Lakusta Self-contained suite (including paying fair market rent) is the "self-contained suite" question. Dependent or independent, if they are self-contained and paying fair market rent they are considered AWAY. (Not exception or appeal)

Really wish I was there for the discussion, we have layers on layers of overlapping discussion with different groups now. I would put them BOTH on exception path except for the dependants being required to have $0 of parental contribution to have this cost assessed. If that's not the case and we treat them the same then there's no need for an appeal.
@Joshua-Lakusta Based on our discussions and consultation with the other groups - condensing full room and board path into Appeal due to adjudication potentially requiring the calculated parental contribution. Creating a new ticket to support appeal path and will update this one to move forward with this.
@CarlyCotton - note the keys for consolidated values, as I followed the standard. I used the keys you identified in the ticket for formio.
