As a student I want the Disability Status tool tip to provide information about PD/PPD to better understand the definitions and the assessment page PD warning banner to provide clear instructions.

Acceptance Criteria

  • [ ] Revise Tool Tip: "If you wish to identify as a student with a disability...." to

"If you are a student with a permanent disability, or a persistent or prolonged disability, as defined below, you may be eligible for additional student financial assistance.

Permanent Disability: Any impairment, including a physical, mental, intellectual, cognitive, learning, communication or sensory impairment - or a functional limitation - that restricts the ability of a person to perform the daily activities necessary to pursue studies at a postsecondary school level or to participate in the labour force and that is expected to remain with the person for the person’s expected life.

Persistent or Prolonged Disability: Any impairment, including a physical, mental, intellectual, cognitive, learning, communication or sensory impairment - or a functional limitation - that restricts the ability of a person to perform the daily activities necessary to pursue studies at a postsecondary school level or to participate in the labour force and has lasted, or is expected to last, for a period of at least 12 months but is not expected to remain with the person for the person’s expected life.”

Student Assessment Page:

  • [ ] When a student has indicated 'Yes' to PD/PPD but does not have their PD/PPD status approved they are blocked from accepting their assessment and a warning banner appears. Banner message update:
  • [ ] Revise: "Your account has not been approved for disability funding. You will not......." to "Your account has not been approved for disability funding. You will not be able to accept this assessment until your disability status is approved. If you would like to receive all non-disability funding, please edit the disability question on your application. Please note that once you have received funding for this application, additional changes to the disability question may not be considered."
