Latest/earlier windows versions stuck in "computing alignments" phase
Hi, Samples with higher (>10M) reads often stuck in "computing alignments" phase with no or minimal CPU usage. After several hours when you press "Return" in the terminal/command window everything went ok and the calculation continues. Command: diamond blastx -d nr -q sample.fa -o sample -f 100 --bin 4 -c 1 OS: win10 64 bit RAM: 128GB CPU: Xeon, with 32 cores
Thanks
Info: restarting system solves this issue....
Hi,
sorry for the late reply. I will try to run a larger job on Windows and see if I can reproduce the problem.
Have you tried if this problem also occurs on Linux?
Best regards,
Benjamin
Hi, no prob; linux versions not affected by this issue, but aligning (as I wrote) and database creation (it's a newly discovered bug) sometimes freezes down on Windows 10 / Server edition.
