Currency less than $1 does not work as expected

Example:

Price = $0.5
Qty = 2
Total = Price * Qty

Expected: $1.00 Actual: $0

I kinda liked it better the way it was as a post fix unit anyway. At least I can't figure out how to do $/hr or $/ft etc in this version.
