prelude emacs crashes on saving pom.xml files

Expected behavior

Emacs saves the pom.xml without issues.

Actual behavior

Emacs prints the Saving... etc message, and then stales with processor running at 100%.

Steps to reproduce the problem

Open https://github.com/uncomplicate/apple-presets/blob/main/accelerate/pom.xml Edit it considerably, for example by formatting it automatically by C-h C-TAB Try to save it.

Environment & Version information

Both MacOS 16.4 and latest Arch Linux

Emacs version

Linux: GNU Emacs 30.1 (build 2, x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 3.24.49, cairo version 1.18.4) MacOS: All versions that I could find in Homebrew.

Operating system

Latest Arch Linux, Latest MacOS (16.4.1)
