Agreed. We generally try to avoid affecting real-world usage, but rather reflect it in the guide. Btw, I'm not a big fan of `%`-literals myself and I've often publicly criticized...
Hmm, how can that be? This doesn't happen when "highlight occurrences" from this package is disabled.
Btw, as a general point - I don't think that highlighting occurrences really belongs here, as that has little to do with `eldoc`.
Let's see how much time I'll have for OSS work this year. :-) Given that soon we'll have tree-sitter support in Emacs it will probably be best to just rely...
As updating the mode-line on each keystroke (what most modes do) might be pretty slow for something like Projectile, the mode-line is updated only by `find-file-hook`. See https://github.com/bbatsov/projectile/issues/1232 for context...
Probably we can just write some documentation about integration with modes like Magit.
@mx Sounds like a good idea to me. PR welcome!
@socksy Thanks for sharing this! I'm hoping we'd be able to come up with something simpler and more future-proof, although all my research so far indicates that'd be pretty hard....
@bsless I don't see anything that can help us there. As we're running user code on the session eval thread we can't really add code there that would make it...
I'm guessing that ship has sailed if there's already a release without it. I've never heard of the JDK team going back on a removal.
