the product name of the ethernet dongle is a CableCreation 2.5G USB 3.0 from Amazon which uses a Realtek 8156 chip and works fine on my DS216J NAS

Unifi Ethernet switch, I also have another NAS a DS216J that this adapter works just fine on following the instructions. All cables are up to date Cat 6 shielded cabling.
