Show Model/Arch Type in Package Center
Small suggestion: show the model/arch type in Package Center listing,
so you don't have to check the Synology knowledge base if you don't remember it from last time.
I know that it's an easy step, but it still saves few clicks (you have to open Package Center anyway).
I'm not sure what you mean. To have a package appear in the Package Center listing, it first needs to be installed. However, we can't install it unless you select the correct architecture for the package.
Could you please explain in more detail?
@rala72 is asking to add the architecture list to the driver documentation. The current URL to the Synology Knowledge Base is the most efficient way to handle this — @bb-qq doesn't need another list to maintain as Synology adds devices (or devices go EOL).
I'm talking about seeing which arch type the driver is somewhere here:
Right now if I'm updating I always have to check the Synology list again and again which could be avoided if the arch type is already somewhere in the description or version.
I don't need a list of all Synology models, just the driver model type as in the file names in release asset list (like apollolake).
In the recently released 2.20.1, I added a platform name such as apollolake to the description. I hope that this will help you remember the platform name when updating the driver.
