TODO:

• smaller thought bubbles that branch away from the mascot's head.
• Mock up a function or API to craft speech bubbles
• Use a better font (perhaps even the snestracker base font)

FWIW here are some speech bubble assets from a popular SNES game which are also nice. :)

I just thought of experimenting with animation effects for this, at some point down the line (after impl'ing the static one :)

Initiate thought

• pop up a small sequence of Little Thought Bubbles (LTB) say every 30-50ms until the thought is reached.
• The Main Thought Bubble (MTB) forms and the words type out, letter by letter.
  • The MTB itself could have a 2-frame animation demonstrating its cloudiness
  • (alternative) each word is a texture, and every texture starts at the center of the MTB, and moves to its sentence position.

Exit thought

• Trigger an animation to "poof" the thought bubble out of existence

Dear Ravancloak, I removed the cloudy spots inside the dialogue to make it more readable, and turned the AA on the border to all black. I hope you like it.

The inside color reminds me of my graphing calculator. :)

Here are some points further ahead:

• Make the small bits of cloud that will lead up to the dialogue. (couple variations in size or amount of fluff).
