Would it be possible to get a new release of rules_python which includes the following PRs?

  • https://github.com/bazelbuild/rules_python/pull/773
  • https://github.com/bazelbuild/rules_python/pull/769

The following PR may also be sufficient for https://github.com/bazelbuild/rules_python/pull/773:

  • https://github.com/bazelbuild/rules_python/pull/510

Though https://github.com/bazelbuild/rules_python/pull/773 seems to be the simpler approach and would probably be less effort to merge.
