Add fallback for airplane mode
What's the recommended solution for running Bazel without an internet connection? I vendored all my external deps, opened my laptop on the airplane ready to do some work, and discovered I couldn't run bazel because I only have bazelisk installed.
Is there a command-line flag for storing locally and running the most recently cached version? Or do I need to install bazel without bazelisk if I need offline access?
as a temporary fix so that I can travel, I ran
brew uninstall bazelisk
brew install bazel
and am now on version 8.1.0. If there's a solution to this, I'll go back to bazelisk.
What's your .bazelversion? If it's an explicit version like 8.1.0, it should use the cached version locally. Anything other than that like latest, 8.x will require internet access to check the latest available version.
