Encrypt connections for Workers

Our main deployment is in our on prem datacenter and we want to spin up ephemeral workers in AWS for burst workloads, such as during business hours. As part of our SOC and IT security compliance, we need to encrypt the connections between our on prem redis/servers/workers and the workers in AWS.

This seems like something of a network fabric issue, one that we're poorly equipped to address inside of buildfarm.

Encrypting traffic between trusted hosts (your prem assets) and aws hosts through a VPC (presumably network/transport level) is something of a solved problem. Can you illustrate any particular spin that would require app support here?
