Feature Request: See all books in DB and users that own them
I would love the option to see a list of all books in the database, and which users own them. The option to see which users own books should also be reflected in the search tab as well.
Currently, it is only possible to see which books a user owns by manually going to that user and browsing their books. A friend can run a search for a book and see it is in the system, but have no clue if I'm the user that owns it or not. Thus needing to crawl through every user's book list.
this is quite similar to #244 point 3
I am already planning to display all users having a book in their library on the book detail page.
I don't know which way is the best to display the list of books and the users that own them. Do you and other users here have suggestions for this ? What would the view look like ?
I imagine it as being some sort of field on the page for the book for the book itself. "Friends who own this book and other editions" or something of the like. Similar to how Goodreads or Fable might display friends who have read the books.
I don't think it needs to be a comprehensive view with both sorts of information. If I search for a book I don't own, or am on an "all books" page and see a book I don't own, I know someone else has added it, and can click on the book to see another's users interaction with it. See who owns it, if they've loaned it, who potentially borrowed it even if it's another Jelu user.
Plex is another similar situation where I can search any movie, and if it's on a friend's server it will show on the page for that movie.
