We would really need this to backup capi cluster with velero (we need to pause the reconciliation of the cluster first by changing the specs of the cluster object).
I'm also very interested. Especially how you could use istio for auth.
For all those using helmfile. You can very easily integrate the current not released helm chart with: `url: git+https://github.com/operator-framework/operator-lifecycle-manager@deploy/chart?ref=v0.22.0&sparse=0`
