Create new entry behaviour in regards to buffers and windows

Hi,

Really liking this plugin so far, really feel that it's going to be very useful to me. The only thing is that I'm having trouble managing the windows the add new entry command creates. For example, if I'm currently editing an entry, I might like to type " a o j j" to quickly add another entry right below it. I would like it do it within the same window, but it instead always creates a new split. The same is also true if I already have a the journal file open in another window than the one I'm currently in; typing " a o j j" will not move me to the already open window, but instead create a new split at my current location. Just a little confused on how to work this, was wondering if anyone had any advice. I'm pretty new to emacs, so my workflow might just be wrong.

Thank you,

Erik

Hey,

are you using any of the Emacs variants like doomemacs, spacemacs,...? For me it never creates a new split (Emacs 27.x). Must be some customization setting.

Thank you,
