Switch off LED light

Hi there, is it possible to control the LED light inside the fingerprint sensor? Afaik , the library does not (yet) provide any function to do so. However, do you have any idea how this might work?

Is it possible to have the light off, but the fingerprint sensor still recognizes when a finger is been placed on it?

My problem is that in the morning, the area around the sensor is very bright. So the sensor falsely detects a finger (which it obviously doesn't recognize). My idea is the solve the problem by reducing the sensor-light's brightness?
