Switch has no attributes until the first time it's actuated

I use this adaptive lighting integration in my home office, and it works great except: when Home Assistant is first started or restarted with the main switch.adaptive_lighting_[name] turned off, that switch entity has no attributes. I like to have brightness_pct and color_temp_kelvin visible in my Lovelace card, but those attributes don't exist until the above-named switch entity is first turned on.

After the switch is turned on, the attributes appear and are populated with the correct values.

After the switch is turned off again, the attributes continue to exist but are set to null, which is fine.
