Wake on lan agent not working

The agent service on the pc always on in the remote lan used to work fine. Now it stopped working: the process does not start and refuses to start with the error 1053: the service did not respond...in a timely manner. I don't know if this is due to some windows 11 updates or other reasons, but it does not work. Any suggestion?
