terminating session = remote machine goes to lock screen, any way to prevent?

Sorry if this is not the place or if it's a stupid question, but here goes:

Is there an option or a way that I can prevent the remote machine from going to the lockout screen when I terminate my connection?

If not, is there a chance such an option could be added / are there other solutions that can do this?
