• Since 2018.3 IntelliJ IDEA has native support of global menu bar on Linux. To get more information see:

• I don't use a Linux based OS now and don't use the plugin. So, it's hard to maintain it.

Main Menu visibility toggler for any IDE based on the IntelliJ Platform

How to install

1. From JetBrains Plugins Repository
2. Download plugin manually from https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/7297-main-menu-toggler and install from disk

How to use

1. Form the main menu: View | Main Menu.

2. Find action "Toggle Main Menu" and call it. (You can use "Search everywhere"(Double-press Shift) for that)

3. Assign a shortcut in settings (find "Toggle Main Menu") and use it.
