Omarchy not shutting down properly

Open matyssxdxd opened this issue 1 month ago • 4 comments

System details

ThinkPad T14s Gen 4 AMD

What's wrong?

I recently reinstalled Omarchy on my system and have twice now experienced a bug where, after clicking shutdown in the Omarchy menu, it does not fully shut down and gets stuck on the Omarchy screen (the one you see when shutting down and booting up). The only fix is to hold the power button until the PC turns off.

I have same issue. When you press ESC, you can see what is causing the system to hang. It’s something related to “manager USERID 1000” (I’ll grab the full message next time). If you wait about two minutes, it eventually finishes that process and shuts down the computer.

For me, the system always hangs after suspending (SUPER+ESC -> Suspend). After waking the computer and trying to reboot or shut it down, it gets stuck at the point shown in the photo for about two minutes.

@ryanrhughes I thought we had cut the timeout to 5 seconds? But maybe there's a second timeout?

I didn’t know you could press ESC to see what was causing the problem, but I also haven’t had this issue since creating the report. In my case, it didn’t shut down after 2 minutes because I shut down my laptop for the night and didn’t notice that it hadn’t fully shut down. In the morning, it was still attempting to shut down.
