Opening the wifi setup removes network connection.
System details
i5-10300H, GTX 1650, Omarchy 3.1.0
What's wrong?
Either clicking the wifi icon on the waybar or through the menu, opening the wifi setup interface results in having the current network removed.
I also get this error: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NotFound: No matching method found.
The new interface also only shows the known networks section.
I am still able to connect to the wifi through the terminal though.
Do you get the same if you start impala manually from the terminal?
Nope! It appears normally when I start impala from the terminal.
Hi,
I faced the same issue. poking around I found that changing the terminal to kitty instead of alacritty solved the problem for me.
@capyfara are you using a light terminal background ?
@pythops When I posted this bug I believe I was using a light terminal. It seemed to have resolved itself now (I haven't updated to 3.1.1 yet), so I'm not sure if it might be related to that.
@capyfara good to hear.
There was an issue relate to light background but it is fixed in the latest release v0.4.1

It's a regression in 0.4.0
Move back to 0.3.0 with
sudo pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/impala-0.3.0-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst
edit: My assumption was that https://github.com/pythops/iwdrs/pull/16 fixes it but now I'm not sure...
edit2: oh this makes no sense.
So if I do this with the Osaka Jade theme, nothing happens. But switching to the Sakura theme ends up in the network being disconnected.
This is with 0.4.1.
I guess I'll use Osaka Jade for a while...
@neheb thanks, downgrade helped me.
Latest Impala (v0.4.1) fixed this issue, moved back to alacritty and it works now
Still broken with Sakura theme.
I have impala 0.4.1 but still, after reboot, the first time I open the wifi menu it would show "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NotFound: No matching method found." and disconnect and forget the current wifi. the subsequent open is fine. Very weird.
Yeah I'm fairly irritated with Impala >= 0.4.
It not only breaks with lighter themes, but it also sometimes fails to work with my intel pcie wifi card. I use a USB adapter as a workaround.
OTOH I'm not a fan of the controls before 0.4.
I encountered this bug as well. Switching back to the default Tokyo Night theme resolved the issue, though it's unclear why certain themes break the WiFi setup tray icon while others work fine.
Use the latest release v0.5.0
I don't know why but it doesn't work for many installed themes.
One theory is that some themes use too many colors.
