IOError closed stream after reporting success

I'm just setting up a old app with Kamal in place of Dokku. I have a few other apps I've set up and deployed without a problem. Now when I deploy this one, it all runs through and tells me it's finished with a successful exit status, but then it reports an IOError closed stream and gives up.

I can see that there are no docker images on the server. So it got as far as pushing the image to the repository, but then it got an error when pulling that image into the server. But I can't see where the error is.
