Windows height

Hi, I like the integration, but I am confused with the field Windows height, I think something IS missing.

I have at home Windows wich go from floor to ceiling and I alsomhave Windows that go from 90cm above floor to the ceiling, the field ask for the total rolling height, but, don't the integration need to know where the Windows starts and where It ends in order to make the shadow cast field to work?

Hello gralfj,

The position of the window is irrelevant. It could be at any height in a room with a 50 m ceiling height, and it wouldn't change the calculation since the sun's rays are considered parallel (as seen from the ground, of course). The only criteria to consider are:

• the height of the roller shutter
• the horizontal distance, from the bottom of the roller shutter, from which you want to protect yourself from the sun.

Take a look at this tutorial I posted online to get a better understanding of this integration, which lacks clear explanations, while waiting for @basbruss to make updates and fix some residual bugs.

Hi, thanks for your reply, so the height is as it is, bno matter the "from" it is measured, it is the measure and that´s it, isn´t it?
