Manual Override activates randomly
I have a pair of Ikea Fyrtur roller shades connected to Zigbee2MQTT. They generally work fine. Until now I had them controlled via an Aqara Light Sensor and an Automation that lowers them if the Lux go over a certain threshold. I also have the remote from Ikea which I can use to control them manually.
Then I found this integration and I wanted to try it out as it offers more options.
I setup Adaptive Covers with the climate mode where I also added my lightsensor. Of course I deactivated my automation that they don't create conflicts.
What I noticed is that sometimes the blinds go up even the sun is blasting in. I also noticed that somehow the manual override turned to "running" even I had not done anything. My expectation would be that the manual override gets triggered if I press the remote to lower them manually or use the HA Dashboard to lower them. Both I had not touched and also as said the automation is deactivated.
It also happened when I turned on the Control that adaptive covers is active once the shades start lowering it turns to manual control running. Somehow it seems to me that whenever the shades are moving, even if it is by the adaptive covers function it somehow triggers the manual override.
Anyone has the same experience or even better an explanation or way to control this?
Hi, Let's have a look on this tutorial I made recently…
