FR: Automatically follow installation progress in Inspect Mode
I recently started exploring Inspect Mode and tried setting up a Mac configuration workflow using it. During the setup, I noticed that when multiple apps (for example, around 24 policies) are being installed sequentially, the user can only see the first three apps at a time. Meanwhile, the progress bar at the bottom updates (e.g., “10 of 24 apps installed”), showing that more apps have already completed installation in the background.
Currently, the user has to manually click the arrow to view additional installed applications as the installation progresses. It would be great if the list of apps/icons could automatically scroll or advance in sync with the installation process - allowing users to continuously see which apps have already been installed, which one is currently in progress, and which ones are coming up next. Similar to how Setup Manager handles it.
This small addition would make the installation process feel much more transparent.
Thanks for your work on swiftDialog, it’s a great tool and really promising for setup workflows!
I currently work on optimizing this - AFAICT this works better now
