Proposal: Deleting some types of feed activity items
Which feed activity is useful? Which can be safely deleted?
It may not be worth the resources to save everything indefinitely. It is easier to maintain and optimize a smaller database.
What is the feed activity?
After years of accumulation, the database contains over 20GB of feed data.
A feed activity item looks like
+ ellipsism added Item for testing purposes 1 to Bundle for testing purposes 84 minutes ago
The largest category with 20 million rows is the removing / moving collection items
A large and not seemingly useful type is automatically synced. Recent syncs maybe, but not years of sync activity.
Bundle postings and corrections may still be useful. Moves, removes in user collections and sync activity not so much.
I'm only interested in "official" barter.vg activity, e.g. bundle postings. The rest is just noise.
