double labels on the map

As an example, position at/search 28.312093,-16.402113 then zoom to the level that you see hotels, restaurants etc.

In my case I see the labels for hotel and restaurants TWO times. One time it is conventional small label/icon, and the 2nd one is much bigger and more ugly. Why do we need two labels for each business? Can we remove the ugly ones?
