Seems the library is broken:

doesn't seem to be tbh. However, coinmarketcap is also not really interresting anymore for projects, if they force you to get an API key also for free usage.

Maybe look at coingecko (library: https://github.com/man-c/pycoingecko) - it does offer similar functions to coinmarketcap ...
