add scala 2.12 support

hi @barneygovan, i'm not sure if you still maintain this repository but i would like to test it out with scala 12 support.

some of the dependencies have died on the vine in terms of support, so i would like to go through and upgrade all the plugins and replace dependencies such as jacks with libraries that are still maintained.

i'm willing to do all this work but i am wondering if you are available to review PR's and push new public releases.
