Gantt and Resource Chart showing the same information

It seems to be useful to see the same task info under Gantt and Resource 
Charts. I am not sure how other users, but I miss a lot task dependencies and 
progress in Resource Chart. Couldn't just both charts show the same information 
? I mainly level the tasks based on available resources (SW project 
managements) so not only displaying the same information, but also adjusting 
task's start and end dates by dragging task edges in Resource Chart would help 
a lot. Thank you!

From your previous answers I understand I that adding too many chart dependencies would turn the chart into a mess, but what about dragging the bars edges in Resource Chart like in the main chart ?
