About Heatmap format

Hi, I'm confused about the goundtruth heatmap for training. As you mentioned in the paper, there are two ways to construct a heatmap, the first is binary heatmap , and the other is gaussian heatmap. And I wonder which heatmap you choose. If the binary heatmap is chosen, how you fix the problem of imbalance between the foreground and the background. Thank you!
