Saved a password (basic HTTP auth), then it got changed

Not sure if this is the right place to ask about this. I have a website with basic HTTP auth via Apache. I saved the credentials to log in with chromium swe (latest build), then, after a while, I tried to login again and the password had changed, becoming a very long one.

This happened twice in the last few weeks. I type the correct password again, update it, then it's fine for a while.

What could be happening?
