Notification on android google service version app

Open chamdim opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Having the version of the app from the Play Store installed on my device (Galaxy S21 FE 5G, Android version 14 & Google system update October 1, 2024), I noticed the following issues with notifications:

1.The pop-up window does not appear outside the app, nor does it activate the lock screen for interaction. 2.The notification for an incoming call sends two alerts using the message notification sound and then stops ringing. I expected it to use the ringtone sound. 3.Notifications from the notification bar either open on the first tap, the second, or, at most, the third consecutive tap. 4.There is no "waiting to answer" sound until the recipient accepts the call and the proximity sensor engages after the call is been answered. 5.There is no timer to track the call duration. The last two points are essentially about new features, but I mention them here for consistency.

Thank you for this feedback!

I am working on a refactor of the client apps for the next month or two, and then I will try and address your points (which I agree with all of them). I have not worked on lock screen interaction before, so I am not sure how difficult that will be, but the other points seem straightforward.

For now I have added them to the backlog to not lose track of them....thanks again!

What's the app called

The app is called Databag. You should be able to find it on the app stores.

I haven't forgotten about the original message. The next release will include 5, but is primarily a UI/UX refactor. The following release will then include proper integration with the mobile calling systems.
