Wireless chipset support for Qualcomm Atheros

Intel compute sticks are now EOL, and Intel has advised that they will be discontinuing manufacture of their compute stick line this year.

As an alternative solution (for anyone looking to migrate off/away from the Compute Stick platform) Intel has advised to consider leveraging the Asus Viostick which uses the following combined Wireless + BLE chipset:

802.11ac + BT V4.1
(Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377)

Would it be possible to have support for this chipset added into Wifi connect as well as the underlying Balena OS so we can continue using the Compute Stick platform for Balena?
