Add test whether there's enough space on /boot to finish update
Test the target /boot
partition before starting to copy things over that there's enough space to copy. It can be tricky, as we cannot be sure how much extra space is needed for the process because of the temp-file style copying and newly added files (should be approximately "the largest file" + "sum of new files").
Should approximate this somehow.
This is to avoid a situation when some files are updated, but /boot
runs out of space and thus some files are copied, some are not, and end up in an inconsistent boot...
I have to add that it costs only 6.99 usd without sd and without shipping.
What love to have this, too!
Would be awesome 👍 PS: Armbian does support the board already, so maybe that could be useful https://www.armbian.com/orange-pi-zero/
+1 for this. The built-in wifi + ethernet + USB dongle for cellular makes it an easy choice for setting up a device with fail-safe connectivity.
+1 for this, these boards are very well supported by armbian nightly builds with the 4.10 mainline kernel, and run docker fine. (The "legacy" kernel provided by the manufacturer is too old to run docker).
Building on armbian to add support for the orange pi zero should open up the whole orange pi range, as the difference between each is basically mixing and matching peripherals.

Adding my voice to the chorus - this is one of the best price/performance tiny Linux boards out there, and would unlock a whole new batch of applications for Resin OS.
Any update on this?
Should be included once my pr is merged for Orange Pi Zero support. balena-os/balena-allwinner#65
